Trinity Theatre Club (TTC) is a vibrant, energetic, amateur theatre company based in Tunbridge Wells. Resident at the Trinity Theatre Arts Centre, we produce three plays a year and pride ourselves on our ambitious programming, high production values and reputation for excellence.
TTC was founded in 1946 as the Tunbridge Wells Drama Club. When Decimus Burton’s beautiful Holy Trinity Church was decommissioned in 1977 the Drama Club was at the forefront of the move to convert Trinity into a theatre, and by 1981 the Club had established itself as Trinity’s resident amateur theatre company. As Trinity Theatre Club it has attained a well-deserved reputation for producing amateur drama to a professional standard.
Trinity Theatre Arts Centre is now one of the foremost arts venues in the South East, and TTC is delighted to be part of such a thriving artistic community. Spectacular and intimate at the same time, and profiting from a fabulous location in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, the centre includes a theatre, cinema, gallery and cafe/bar.
It hosts over 300 events a year, ranging from the best in theatre and dance to the biggest names in comedy and music, and puts special emphasis on developing work for young and multicultural audiences.
With such a busy programme we’re always looking for new members. No matter what level of experience or skills you have, there’ll be a role you can take on, and we’d love you to join us! If you’re interested in getting involved – with anything from design to technical support, construction to costumes, not to mention acting and directing – it would be fantastic to hear from you.
