Remembering our past TTC Members, sadly no longer with us.

Kris Robertson

Kris sadly passed away at the end of June 2023.

Kris had been a very active member of the club for at least the last 12 years, being chair of the club for 4 years and being our marketing manager for 5 years on committee. He had been in King Lear, Pygmalian, Blithe Spirit, And Then There Were None, God of Carnage, Crucible and 3 Sisters for the club. More recently he appeared in White Carnation, Hangmen and Oedipus Rex for the Oast Theatre in Tonbridge.

Remembering Derek Hollweg

Derek sadly passed away in a London hospital at the end of April 2023.

He was a huge character and a valued member of the club over a long period, and many of you will have worked with him or seen him in our productions.

Derek was in plays from Tartuffe in 2009 to Chekhov's Three Sisters in 2018, by way of productions as varied as Treasure Island and King Lear, And Then There Were None and The Madness of King George. Derek also directed our production of Sleuth in 2017.

He was remembered as a lovely, warm man by those who worked with him, who talked his raucous laugh and big booming voice. When he retired, he fulfilled his dream of taking a course in acting at a London stage school. He was a talented actor and anyone who performed with him would agree, was a generous actor to be on stage with.

 Derek will be greatly missed.
