By Moira Buffini

3-7 May 2005

Ever since the Thanes sat down to a jolly supper with the Macbeths and Titus Andronicus dished up people pie, playwrights have recognised the dramatic potential of the social gathering that goes horribly wrong. Following in this great tradition, Moira Buffini’s delicious bad taste black comedy serves up the dinner party from hell. Nominated ‘best comedy’ in the Lawrence Olivier awards 2003, the play is full of explosive confrontations, bitchy one-liners, lethal character assassinations and barbed, poisonous fun.

Directed by Tim Arthur.
